About Wildlife Veterinary Care

Wildlife Veterinary Care was founded by experienced wildlife veterinarian, Dr. Belinda Burwell, to fulfill the need for specialized veterinary and rehabilitative care for sick and injured native wildlife in this area. We are able to care for more than 200 different native species of wild animals.

Since founding a wildlife hotline in 2000. Dr. Burwell has cultivated a network of wildlife rehabilitators, transporters, and veterinary clinics who help with rescuing and triaging sick and injured wildlife. In addition, she works with other environmental organizations to educate the public about living with wildlife and threats to the environment.

WVC is also devoted to stewardship — helping protect our native wildlife and teaching future generations to do the same.

Based out of two local veterinary clinics and Vineyard Hill Farm, Dr. Burwell is able to assess each case personally, develop a specialized treatment plan, and follow through every step of the way from initial contact to release.
